2. About MED.COM

MED.COM is a medical knowledge and specialist discovery platform. We:

• Publish editorial content on medical topics, conditions, and treatments
• Maintain profiles of verified medical specialists
• Facilitate connections between patients and specialists through consultation requests

MED.COM is not a healthcare provider. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use MED.COM. If you are under 18, you may use the Platform only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

By using MED.COM, you represent that you meet these requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Not Medical Advice

The content on MED.COM is for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

• Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions about a medical condition
• Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on MED.COM
• If you think you have a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately

Articles are written or reviewed by MED.COM Editorial staff and, in some cases, by contributing specialists. The opinions of contributing specialists are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of MED.COM.

5. Specialist Profiles

Specialist profiles on MED.COM are based on information provided by the specialists themselves and reviewed by MED.COM for general accuracy and credential verification.

• We verify medical licenses and board certifications where applicable
• We do not guarantee the clinical competence, performance, or outcomes of any specialist
• Patients are responsible for their own due diligence before engaging with any specialist
• Consultation arrangements between patients and specialists are independent of MED.COM

MED.COM does not receive commission, referral fees, or other compensation from specialists for patient consultations or treatments. We do not earn money based on whether a patient ultimately receives care from a specialist.

6. Consultation Requests

When you submit a consultation request:

• You acknowledge that MED.COM Editorial staff will review your submission
• You authorize us to forward your information to the specialist you selected
• You understand that the specialist's response (or non-response) is at their sole discretion
• Any subsequent relationship, treatment, or fees are between you and the specialist directly
• MED.COM is not a party to that relationship and bears no responsibility for it

You agree not to use consultation requests for emergencies, harassment, spam, or any unlawful purpose.

7. Account and Security

If you create an account or are issued credentials (e.g., as a specialist), you agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information
• Keep your credentials confidential
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to access non-public areas, accounts, or systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without our written permission
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Use the Platform to send unsolicited communications
• Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Violate the intellectual property rights of MED.COM or others

9. Intellectual Property

MED.COM Content: All editorial content, design, graphics, logos, and other materials on MED.COM are owned by or licensed to MED.COM and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may:

• View, share, and link to content for personal, non-commercial use
• Quote brief excerpts with attribution to MED.COM

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publish content without permission
• Use MED.COM content to train AI models or machine learning systems without explicit written consent
• Use MED.COM logos, names, or trademarks without permission

Specialist Contributions: Specialists who contribute articles retain authorship rights to their work and grant MED.COM a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to publish, edit for clarity, and distribute the work on the Platform.

User Submissions: By submitting consultation requests, feedback, or other content, you grant MED.COM a license to use that content as necessary to operate the Platform and improve services.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or policies of these third parties. Access them at your own risk.

11. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MED.COM disclaims all warranties, including:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• Warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of content
• Warranties that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Warranties about the qualifications, competence, or conduct of specialists
• Warranties about outcomes of any consultation or treatment

You use the Platform at your own risk.

11.1 Accuracy of Materials

The materials on MED.COM may include technical, typographical, or factual errors. We do not warrant that materials on the Platform are accurate, complete, current, or free from errors. Medical knowledge evolves continuously, and information that was accurate at the time of publication may become outdated. We may update, correct, or remove materials at any time without prior notice.

Users are responsible for verifying any information found on MED.COM with qualified medical professionals before relying on it for decisions about health or treatment.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MED.COM, ITS FOUNDERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM WILL NOT EXCEED USD 100.

THIS LIMITATION APPLIES REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ON WHICH THE CLAIM IS BASED.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MED.COM and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party right
• Information you submit to the Platform

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violations of these Terms.

You may stop using the Platform at any time.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) will survive.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, posting a notice on the Platform.

Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will be resolved in the competent courts of Tel Aviv, Israel, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory protection laws (including but not limited to the European Union), you may have additional rights that cannot be waived by these Terms, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence as provided by applicable law.

17. Miscellaneous

• Entire Agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and MED.COM
• Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect
• No Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale
